Well compensated, Underpaid Filipino workers

The people are the lifeblood of a nation, which is to say that it cannot exist without those who keep it alive and healthy. That being said, the first day of May is dedicated to the workers. We find our workers full to the brim of work, whilst at the same time being exploited by not giving them just compensation for the effort they put into what they do. While it is true that balancing costs is essential to keep the business afloat and not sink into losses, it is undeniable that the workers themselves are more important than the business.

When it comes down to it, a worker must be treated with the utmost respect. To this effect, they need to be compensated and given nothing but the best. Think of it as an investment—workers themselves are a form of investment such that they work based on getting paid for their work. Management should treat workers like people, seeing as they are not only focused on work but also have their other day-to-day concerns. Some companies fail to see their worker’s needs and demands and the higher-ups must be perceptive of their worker’s conditions, regardless if they are unspoken or not.

We will celebrate the humble worker for all time. They are the purveyors of true progress. What the visionaries see in their mind, the worker realizes with their hands. Happy Labor Day to workers all over the world.
