CED wins first DOTA 2 tourney in Intrams

CED DOTA 2 team members (L-R) Philip Vincoy, Alanne Sagun, and Joemer Jhon

THE COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND DESIGN (CED) showed stronger defense as they outplayed College of Computer Studies (CCS) to clinch the first ever championship for Defense of the Ancient (DOTA) 2 held last Intramurals 2017.

With a score of 2-0, CED did not show mercy against CCS to sweep the final match.

CED instantly showed off its might against CCS beginning in their first game, stunning its opponent with a score of 23-16 in just 38 minutes. CCS wasn’t able to force a deciding game after failing to recover in the next round, scoring
only 21-13 in 41 minutes.

CED’s Lars Vanslembrouck, aka “Patricia”, bagged the most valuable player award after achieving a kill-death-assist
ratio of 5-1-3 and 15-2-12, respectively.

“I am very proud to represent College of Engineering and Design and hopefully we will defend our title next year,” he said.

Meanwhile, out of the 10 competing colleges, College of Arts and Sciences and College of Agriculture tied for third place.

Each game was played in “Captain’s Mode,” wherein the group’s captain chooses and bans heroes for the team.
