Samukan University’s (SU) administration building will be converted into a television set for the reality show Pinoy Beri Beauty (PBB) following a groundbreaking contract with the Board of Chismis.
All administrative offices in the building are currently being emptied to serve as filming sites for the upcoming season of PBB. Additionally, existing equipment and furniture in the building will be donated for the production.
SU Beldings and Groundcoffee (BG) will renovate the building in cooperation with external contractors, the Leggu Company and the Sowper Gleu Corporation.
According to SU President Dr. Beauty MacCla, the contract deal was a joint effort to boost the viewership of PBB and enhance the tourism income of the university.
“Huwag nang magpatumpik-tumpik pa! It’s time to shine mga dabarkads—ay mali ba? Ah! Basta humanda na kayo sa next season ng PBB dahil ako din ang host,” said Dr. MacCla.
On the renovation’s budget, MacCla said, “Hwoyyyyy! Shimpri dami money tayo mga lodicakes. Abi palang hapz!”
BG also released photos of the newly renovated areas in the building, with an indoor swimming pool and gym to be constructed on the first floor of the building.
To accommodate the regular “LigTask Challenges” in the said TV show, the second floor is being cleared out and updated. The kitchen and dining area will also be located on this floor.
Meanwhile, the third floor will become a big co-ed dorm for all the contestants’ sleeping quarters. The mattresses, pillows, and furniture for the dorm are sponsored by WoMandaue Poem.
The upcoming PBB season’s broadcast and livestream will be overseen by the Warfreak Sillymanian, the official campus mandirigma.
PBB Season 1 will start filming once the midterm season ends. The winner of PBB will receive a cash prize of ₱500 million, a crown and scepter, and the title of “True Home of the Champions.”
